How To Prepare
Photo Sessions NotesThe real purpose of Graduation is to celebrate years of hard work, but let’s be honest — those photos are important.
Why wouldn’t you want to look great in the images that immortalize one of the biggest milestones of your life?
Make-Up Notes
For your graduation portraits, keep makeup natural and photo-ready. Avoid heavy glitter, overly shimmery products, or makeup with SPF, as these can cause reflections or a washed-out look in photos. Opt for matte finishes and blend thoroughly for a elegant appearance.
Hair Notes
Ensure your hair is neat and free of fly-aways. Avoid products that create shine or reflection, as they may affect the photos. Part of the session includes wearing a graduation hat, so choose a hairstyle that fits comfortably. Bring a brush or comb for touch-ups.
Shirt-Under The Gown
We offer a limited number of white shirts for use under graduation gowns. For health and safety reasons, we encourage you to wear your own shirt. We recommend a white or solid-colored collared shirt to contrast with the black gown. (samples).
Nails & Hands
Please note that hands and nails will be visible in the graduation portraits, as props will be held in some poses. We recommend ensuring your nails are clean and well-groomed. Consider a neutral or classic nail polish for an elegant look.
Casual Photos - Headshots
In addition to Graduation Portraits, photographers will take casual photos suitable for business or profile headshots.
Please plan your outfit accordingly (samples).
Eye Glasses
Wearing eyeglasses during your photoshoot may cause a reflection in some cases. If your glasses create a reflective glare from the lights and camera, the photographers will try to find a work-around.
Graduation Caps
However there is the option to use them as props during the photoshoot.
Props or Program-Related Items
However, you can bring your own small props or items related to your program.
